The Dude and his Dad

There are only a few things more important to a boy than spending time with his dad.

We've been planning for and talking about "Kite Flying Day" since last month when we received our school newsletter and learned that dads were invited to fly kites with their kids today.

Kite Flying Day is a big deal!

Logan has been looking forward to flying a kite with his dad and his friends and their dads for what seems like a lifetime. The kid is a crack up.

Due to the rainy weather we've been having the last few days we were a little worried that the big event might be canceled. However, we were happy to see the sun come out this morning and are grateful that our prayers were answered.

Craig and Logan met up with his teachers, and other classmates and their dads at CAT Park at 10:00am and did their best to have a good time today. It was cold and windy and the cool kite they had wasn't the best flier they'd seen, but that didn't really matter. They enjoyed themselves despite it all!

Craig talked "guy stuff" with some of the dads he knows and Logan ran around and got wet and dirty with his friends. From the way Logan talked about it, there couldn't have been a better outing.

Hmmm. Maybe kite flying day with dad is something we should plan for our family around this time every year. It sounds like fun to me!
