We had a good weekend. It started by going out to dinner on Friday since Craig didn't have to work. We let Logan choose the restaurant and he chose "the Pizza King with the train that brings your drinks." (He'd been there with his Dad and Uncle Jared a couple of months ago.) We sat in a booth that had a mural of a harvester on the wall and watched the train go by behind the glass. Fun. The employees were great! They not only sent our drinks on the train, but ketchup (we had fries) and extra napkins! Logan loved it and Bergen seemed to think it was pretty cool too.
The CAT Easter egg hunt on Saturday was not what we expected. It was freezing cold and snowing! The kids were troopers though. We stood around in the cold for what seemed like forever before they were separated into age groups and lead to roped off areas. Then they were set free to hunt for eggs lying all over the ground. (It was more of an easter egg "gather" than a hunt, and that was okay.) Craig went with Logan and I took Bergen. I tried to get her to walk, but ended up holding her and bending down so she could pick up some eggs instead. And she did alright getting the first two, but was done after that. So I filled her bucket and we met up with the guys. Craig said once they got started, Logan ran around picking up only the green eggs. So typical - green is his favorite color and he will search out all things green! He was finished after picking up four or five eggs, but Craig coaxed him into getting some of the other colors before they headed over to find us. When we all got back together, we raced to the car and home to get warm and check out the loot!

What would Easter be without coloring eggs? We almost skipped it this year, but for Logan, that just wouldn't do. He couldn't wait to introduce egg dye to his sister! Daddy even joined in the fun. Good thing it was right before bath time!

Sunday was a nice day. The Easter Bunny came while we were at church (so as to try to keep the boy reverent during the meetings), and he did not disappoint! Logan went through his basket as soon as we got home. Bergen fell asleep on the way home, so got to see what was in hers when she woke up. The bunny left a little candy and a few toys. Logan's favorites: a pair of binoculars and a Lightning McQueen Frisbee!

Later, when everyone was up and everything was ready, we headed over to Grandpa Don and Grandma Lynne's house for dinner with the family. The food was so good. (I had two helpings of corn pudding and I never do that!) After we had eaten our fill, the big kids went outside for a little easter egg hunt and to play with the bubble guns they got! They were a hit and a fun time was had by all! Bergen enjoyed the attention she got inside too.

The weekend ended with me in bed at 10pm Sunday night without a voice (and still without one today). Craig and Logan were snuggling on the couch watching TV, and Bergen was already asleep again, of course.

Gearing Up
Things are going to change around here. Or so I keep telling myself.
I was in the garage for quite a while today. I went out to get the kids Easter baskets and ended up looking at all sorts of fun things.
The verdict: We have WAY too much stuff! (Which I already knew. And yes, most of it's mine.) So, since Craig has the weekend off, I'm going to try to corral him into that beautiful space and have him help me get rid of some of it. Wish me luck. I'm sure he can think of better things to do!
I am plugging away at my goal be organized. My mantra is still "I will get ORGANIZED so that I can have more STRUCTURE in my life so that I can FOCUS on the things that are important!"
