So Proud of Our Dad

Craig has been training for a Century Ride for months. He's ridden over 1,300 miles since July, and today was the big day. He left before the kids were up.

He had set a goal to finish the ride in 3 hours. He did it in 3 hours, 15 minutes!

I really wanted to make signs and wait along side the road for him to ride by like the spectators do for the Tour de France, but he had no idea where he'd be when, and he didn't want us to have to wait around for him all day. (He didn't know we wanted to have signs either, just that we wanted to cheer.) So we decided to make some to greet him when he got home.

Logan and Bergen had a blast painting and putting up pictures! Of course being the mom that I am, I wanted to take a picture of them with all their hard work before he saw it. Wouldn't you know it, we got caught! I was just taking a picture when we heard Craig's Jeep coming around the corner in the neighborhood so we ran to the front door as fast as we could. But he had already seen us.

I think he smiled the whole way down the street thinking about that. I'm glad he liked his signs...

We are SO proud of our Dad!
