Pioneer Day!

Our ward had a Pioneer Day get-together complete with food, friends, and fun! We're not normally big ward activity goers, but Craig suggested that the kids might like this one. Of course they did!

Here they are in the back seat on the way to the park. Look at their bleach-blond (badly in need of a haircut) summer hair!

Logan was thrilled to play kick ball and other games with his friends -- especially Ben and Luke who have been in California for the last year.

It was fun to watch him play and to see how much he got into the game.

Bergen also enjoyed herself. She spent time playing in a little school bus and hanging out by the water fountain. That girl can find water anywhere!

She liked the food too!

I'm glad we went. It was fun to visit with friends despite the heat and humidity. We even got to catch up with some who have moved and happened to be passing through again.

Who says the 24th of July isn't celebrated any place other than Utah? I'm proud of my pioneer heritage!
