A new animated series debuted on Cartoon Network this morning. It was Hot Wheels Battle Force 5.
In anticipation of the new show, my friend Margot and I had a little Hot Wheels House Party last Saturday. We were both selected as hosts so decided to have our parties together. Because we would have invited the same people anyway.
We bounced ideas off of each other for a few weeks, then after some planning and way too much stressing about what we could do to entertain the party-goers, we settled on a couple of things: The kids could watch the new cartoon while playing with hot wheels and tracks, and they could make candy race cars. Of course the usual running around and playing outside was on the agenda too, we just didn't have to plan for it.
I think the kids all had a pretty good time. I know they liked their candy cars.

Thanks again for inviting Spencer and Jordan. They came home all pumped up and happy. When they saw a commercial for the show about a week later, they went nuts because it was what they had watched.
